We have a job to do. We're not talking about your career, but a "job." The "job" we're talking about is about you personally - the job of growth. Anyone can have a career - you just go into your work for most of the day, do things, and then you go home. The job of growth is what you place into your career that makes what you do for work not only personally-rewarding, but making it count for reasons greater than just the tasks at hand. And when you make yourself and your company count beyond just its duty, you've made your and your company's role more competitive and better established in an ever-changing global marketplace. By establishing sustainable principles into your work, you will inherently make your work and your company more economically and environmentally sustainable. Now that's a stability everyone could use!

From a corporation standpoint, whether big or small, an obligation needs to be set for a precedence in front of clients and their employees that what they do has an impact and meaning beyond just the bottom line.  Proper sustainable mechanisms put into place will reward the company directly and indirectly - inadvertently elevating the bottom line.
