Ecotourism!
If you've ever found yourself wanting to get more out of your travels, to help people and your surroundings individually rather than through other people or networks, to make a direct one-on-one impact, this is the vacation for you. This is something which you will take home with you in such a way that no other vacation has impacted you before. Rather than being an observer of your surroundings, you will now be part of it, interacting with it, assisting it for betterment. We do have to mention something rather important to consider - the means by which you get to your destination. For example, airplanes use a tremendous amount of fuel and exhaust plenty of CO2 into the air to warrant a conscious note. There is a site called The Real Cost where you can download (for firefox browsers) a plug-in which inserts emission information into travel-related sites. It's like a nutritional-info label but now for travel.
